Sex Therapy FAQs. Sex Thought Bubble

Sex Therapy - everything you wanted to ask but were afraid to...

Will I have to take my clothes off or do any sexual tasks in front of you?
Absolutely not! All sessions are strictly 'hands off, clothes on'. At some point I will give you specific exercises to try in the privacy of your own home but you won't be asked to practice in front of me.

I am currently single but I have a sexual problem, can you still help me?
You don't have to be in a relationship to come for sex therapy. Therapy can help you work on the problem so that you have the confidence to enter into relationships in the future.

I don't want my friends, family or colleagues to find out, is it confidential?
Yes our sessions together are completely confidential (unless someone's personal safety is significantly at risk).

How old is too old to benefit from sex therapy?
There's no upper age limit to a healthy, happy sex life. Sex therapy can help older people regain intimacy and rediscover their passion and desire.

I'm in a same sex relationship, will sex therapy work for us?
Sex therapy works for everyone regardless of their sexual orientation.

What training do you have?
I'm a fully qualified and registered integrative counsellor having undertaken training for three years. I've also undertaken specialist training in psychosexual and relationship training (sex therapy) for a further two years. I have over a thousand hours of face-to-face clinical experience with individuals and couples.
